STUDIO FAQs

Absolutely! We offer a FREE trial class option for dancers who just aren’t sure about what class they want to take. All trials need to be scheduled through our Customer Portal system, or by emailing the office (dance@centrevilledance.com), or giving our studio office a call at 703-815-3125.

Absolutely! If your dancer is unhappy or has lost interest in their dance class, we encourage you to find another one that might reignite their passion. Additionally, if your dancer would like to drop their dance class, parents must notify the school in writing in order to withdraw and end financial responsibility (please refer to the Policies section of the Customer Portal for details).

Dancers do not have to participate in the recital, however, parents must complete a Recital Opt-Out form prior to the Costume Due Date (mid October). If a costume is purchased and you decide to opt-out after payment is made, the last day for a refund is November 30th.

No. You are welcome to leave the studio and run errands or get a cup of coffee if you need to. We just ask that you arrive promptly to pick up your child when their dance class is over.

Yes! You are required to maintain a valid credit or debit card in our AutoPay System during the active enrollment of any student(s) in your account. Your tuition payments will be made automatically on the 25th of each month prior to service. Your credit card information will be “vaulted,” meaning that once entered, your credit card number is not accessible to anyone at CDA or to the people who designed and manage our software. You can change your credit card information at anytime through the Portal or by calling us at the studio. You can also make a credit/debit card payment through the Customer Portal at any time it is convenient for you–if you would like to enter your own payment and pay your balance before the 25th of any month, no money will be taken by the AutoPay system on the 25th.

All of your account activity can be viewed through our Customer Portal system. You can see charges, payments made, balances due, update AutoPay information, and more! Need help logging in to your account? Contact the studio office at 703-815-3125 for more assistance.

No. In order to keep our classes running smoothly, we ask that parents refrain from coming into the room to help their dancer tie their shoes or calm them should they become upset. Our staff members are trained to handle all types of situations and will contact you if you are needed.

Make-up lessons are available for unavoidable absences (illness, death in the family, etc.) and when class cancellations are made by the studio for inclement weather. Makeups can be scheduled via our Customer Portal system, by phone or e-mail.

Yes! Our summer dance program is a great way for your child to stay active over the summer break. We offer all of our school year classes, and more, during the summer for dancers ages 2-18, and our very popular summer dance camps for dancers ages 3-12. CDA Summer Camps & Classes schedules are typically released in early spring. Keep an eye on the website for more details when they’re released!

We do not automatically follow Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) in case of inclement weather or emergency situations. When there is inclement weather or an emergency, we will send an email to the primary account email listed in our Customer Portal as well as post on our Facebook page and Instagram account regarding class status for that day. Parents, please make sure your information is up to date in order to get the latest notices from us.

Please contact the studio office at 703-815-3125 or email us at dance@centrevilledance.com and we’d be happy to help!
